With its teaching and research of an international standard, the Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Design makes an important contribution to the design of rooms worth living in!

The school supports all students who wish to carry out a semester abroad, a foreign internship, or a shorter stay abroad, such as a language course. We also consider the improvement of language proficiency, particularly in English, and the gathering of international and intercultural experience as very important in a globalised education and labour market.

We therefore ensure that your studies carried out abroad are fully recognised –before you go abroad. You have to provide us with the information as to the courses and hours at the host university; we will be happy to help. Then, in a “Learning agreement”, the courses at the host university are compared with the courses of the home university, which will then be credited to you. Thus, stays abroad are integrated “mobility windows” in the courses of study of the Department.
