General prerequisites registration
The general prerequisite for registration for the bachelor’s course of study at the University of Applied Sciences is proof of one of the following qualifications:
Certification of qualification for technical higher education from a technical secondary school;
Other certification of qualification for technical higher education acquired in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (academic and practical segments);
Secondary school leaving certificate or other certificate which provides unrestricted entitlement to study at universities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia;
Leaving certificate from a two-year vocational college and a completed professional education, or a six-month supervised internship;
The academic segment of the qualification for technical higher education (e.g. the advanced level at secondary schools) acquired in or recognised by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and a completed course of professional education, or a one-year supervised internship;
A certificate recognised by the Ministry for Schools and Further Education of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as equivalent, in both its academic and practical segments, to a qualification for technical higher education.
Moreover, master craftspeople, holders of the bachelor CCI certificate and graduates of two-year technical colleges in the appropriate courses of study may be admitted.

Special registration prerequisites
The special registration prerequisite for basic courses of study at the University of Applied Sciences is proof of a subject-related internship, lasting eight weeks, which can also be performed during the first two semesters of the course of study. In place of the internship, appropriate activities in a technical secondary school are acceptable. Moreover, other appropriate practical activities can also be credited to the internship.
