Laboratories play an important role in the mechanical engineering and mechatronics department. In many ways they are the link to practice.

On the one hand laboratories are places where a number of lectures are given and where the knowledge acquired in the courses and practical exercises is consolidated by practical experience. Different disciplines are combined such as the dynamic behaviour of a drive unit and the measuring technology that is required to register the same.

On the other hand many industrial research and development projects are handled in our laboratories. This warrants a continuous interaction with the practice and keeps the knowledge of professors and scientific assistants up to date.

The different laboratories of the department are presented on the following pages. You will learn more about the primary fields of activity, about project and bachelor theses and find the appropriate contact addresses.
