General information on the courses
The wide variety of mechatronics tasks determines the contents of the master course of mechatronic systems studies. Apart from specific technical contents the course aims at guiding students towards team-oriented acting and inter-disciplinary thinking.
- Section of a hard disk
The course of studies is spread over four semesters. In the first semester mathematical, scientific and specific technical basics are taught. The group of subjects to be selected depends on the academic degree or bachelor degree obtained before the master course of studies is started. Students with an electrotechnical degree must select other subjects than students with a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
In the second semester students receive a consolidated specific technical education.
This is followed by a practical project in the third semester which preferably should be dealt with in co-operation with an industrial partner. In the first three semesters some complementary inter-disciplinary contents as well as basics in business and management economics are taught.
The fourth semester is reserved for the master thesis.
