inIT and University of Paderborn launch graduate school
University of Paderborn and inIT launched the cooperative international graduate school “Intelligent Systems in Automation Engineering” (ISA) on 10th of June. By doing this, an institutionalized structured doctoral program can be guaranteed for the first time at OWL University. Young scientists from both universities can do their doctorate in the fields of Information Technology, Automation Engineering and Mechatronics.

inIT- employees took part in company run
The company run in Lippe took place for the fourth time in Bad Salzuflen on 24th May, 2013. After a year of abstinence six inIT-employees participated in the run and reinforced the team of OWL University.

inIT checks the operating efficiency of cellular networks and the internet in cooperation with ifak e.V. Magdeburg and ten further companies. For the first time an inIT Master’s graduate could gain a doctoral degree. The Faculty of Engineering of the University Duisburg-Essen conferred the doctoral degree to Kaleem Ahmad, who is now Doctor of Engineering. The third International Conference of Advances in Cognitive Radio (COCORA) took place in Venice from the 21st to 26th of April, 2013- the world’s most important conference in the field of cognitive radio systems. Professor Uwe Meier and Dimitri Block, both from inIT, were awarded with the Best Paper Award for the best conference contribution.
