High-tech partnership shows the flag - Institut Industrial IT (inIT) at the Hannover Fair 2011

"Where IT meets Automation" is the motto at the Center Industrial IT (CIIT) on the campus of the OWL University in Lemgo, and from today through Friday, 8 April also at the Hanover Fair. The network partners of the CIIT present themselves in Hall 16, stand A04, on a 36 square meter booth.

On the campus of the OWL University, science and industry form an open network of partners located under one roof. The Center Industrial IT (CIIT), as Science-to-Business Center, at the same time locates and regionally roots in the market independently operating private companies and renowned research institutions. There is currently a staff of 200 employees at the plant to 5,000 square feet and growing.

Sybille Hilker, director of the office: "The CIIT is a place where creative ideas for IT-based industrial automation arise and mature, with finally innovative and marketable products." This is done together in various projects with the two leading research institutes Fraunhofer IOSB- INA and the Institute Industrial IT of OWL University, and the industry partners such as Phoenix Contact, Weidmueller, ISI Automation, OWITA and KW-Software. The partners are presented under the CIIT umbrella also at the Hanover Fair. With the regions Lippe, Höxter and Herford, a promising trade fair partnership was arranged.

 

A highlight at the CIIT-stand is the KUKA robot, a core of Lemgoer model factory. This robot illustrates by industrial popcorn production, how versatility can be realized in automation, as a demonstration of the successful cooperation in technology by the cooperating companies and institutes.
