| Short description | : | Abstract The investigation of the transmission and reception characteristics of devices with radio inter-faces can be done by means of Over The Air Performance (OTA) measurements. OTA tests determine the 3D-radiation pattern of a transmitter and calculate the Total Radiated Power (TRP). Similarly, OTA determines the 3D pattern of a receiver and calculates the Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS). All measurements are carried out in a shielded anechoic chamber. The aim of this diploma thesis was the construction of an OTA test site. This required the development of a C++ program to control the rotation of a 3D-positioner. The program reads the measurement values and calculates the parameters TRP and NHPRP30 (Near the Horizon Partial Radiated Power), and records the data. The results are presented as 3D-plot using MATLAB. The completed OTA test site was already used for initial measurements of WLAN test devices. |
