Prof. Volker Lohweg vertritt das Fachgebiet Diskrete Systeme in Forschung und Lehre. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereich Technische Kognitive Systeme mit dem Fokus auf industrieller Echtzeit-Bildverarbeitung und Musterkennung sowie Sensor- und Informationsfusion für die Anwendungsbereiche Dokumentensicherheit (Banknote and Document Inspection and Analysis) und Automation (Machine Conditioning and Flaw Diagnosis).
