Project Week PETI
The project week “Elektrotechnik und Technische Informatik” (PETI) is a week-long special event for students of the Bachelor’s programs „Elektrotechnik“ (Electrical Engineering) and „Technische Informatik“ (Computer Engineering) that takes place in the first semester. The idea behind the project week is to confront students outside regular lectures, exercise lessons and practical phases with engineering-tasks that are typical of their prospective careers. Students learn …
- to tackle situations with practical and problem-oriented care,
- to process topics on an interdisciplinary basis,
- to work in teams,
- to do academic work.
In order to be able to handle the task in competing interdisciplinary teams, the regular study period is interrupted for a week. The resulting concepts and ideas are presented at the end of the week. The three teams that performed best are honored by a jury.
